Attorney Tim Drewa

An elite trial and appellate lawyer, Attorney Drewa joined CASPER MEHLOS LAW GROUP after spending his career in criminal defense litigation. A tenacious litigator known for his creative motion practice, Attorney Drewa brings a wealth of high-level criminal trial and appellate victories, winning extremely challenging homicide, sexual assault and complex litigation cases at every level of the Wisconsin court system. In 2026, Attorney Drewa earned the extremely rare distinction of winning his case before the Supreme Court of Wisconsin, an almost unheard of distinction among criminal defense lawyers.

Attorney Drewa graduated magna cum laude with dual business degrees in Finance and Operation Management from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, then earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School. At the University of Wisconsin Law School, Attorney Drewa spearheaded an investigation through the Wisconsin Innocence Project that overturned his client’s wrongful homicide conviction, the only such outcome in his entire Innocence Project class.

Attorney Drewa regularly collaborates with leading scientists and legal experts across North America. In his former role as the Forensic Practice Coordinator, he established best practices, mastered complex scientific evidence, and trained attorneys throughout the state of Wisconsin. Coming out of law school, the Wisconsin Law Journal recognized Attorney Drewa, naming him as an “Up and Coming Lawyer.” Over the course of his career, Attorney Drewa has contributed directly to the legal profession as an Editor for the Criminal Defense Manual published by Wisconsin State Bar Books Unbound. He is the past President of the Washington County Bar Association.

Clients appreciate Attorney Drewa’s blue collar work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and experience achieving outstanding client results at both the trial and appellate levels.
